Superintendent 2 - Commercial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead the field execution of moderately complex commercial construction projects. The role oversees project delivery from planning through closeout while supporting safe, timely, quality-driven, and profitable completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, materials, equipment, and workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, scheduling, documentation, coordination, and project communication activities.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules with the Project Manager.
• Lead daily and weekly trade meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Monitor project risks, costs, productivity, changes, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate closeout, pre-punch work, inspections, and turnover with project stakeholders.
• Support staffing, recruiting, procurement, project pursuits, and change negotiations.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, and Lean practices.
• Ability to manage budgets, understand contract requirements, coordinate project changes, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.
