Superintendent 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead fairly complex construction projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees field operations, project coordination, safety, quality, schedule, and production while supporting the company’s commitment to an injury-free and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, materials, equipment, and workflow.
• Direct project safety, quality, scheduling, production, cost tracking, and risk management.
• Lead daily, trade, progress, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules with the Project Manager.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, reports, logs, inspections, and cost information.
• Coordinate procurement, staffing, self-perform work, quality control, changes, and project closeout.
• Communicate with owners, design partners, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, scheduling, project accounting, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, layout, rigging, and labor productivity.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling software, and required construction technology.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours when project needs require.
