Superintendent 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 in Austin to manage moderately complex construction projects or major portions of larger projects. The role oversees field operations from planning through closeout while supporting safe, timely, quality-focused, and profitable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, and daily workflow.
• Manage project scheduling, coordination meetings, documentation, reports, and field records.
• Lead safety, quality assurance, staffing, material procurement, equipment planning, and closeout activities.
• Monitor project risks, costs, changes, production, and self-perform work in partnership with project management.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, design teams, authorities, vendors, and internal resources.
• Support project pursuits, buyout, change negotiations, reviews, and preconstruction planning.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project controls, scheduling, budgets, quality, safety, and subcontractor coordination.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling tools, construction technology, and Lean practices.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours as project needs require.
