Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support planning, field execution, documentation, and timely completion of industrial and advanced facilities construction projects in Lake Charles. The role offers a path to Superintendent 2 and works within a professional, non-union organization.

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, mission-critical, and advanced-industry projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company crews, materials, equipment, and overall site workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, and project meetings while promoting an injury-free work environment.
• Develop and adjust work plans, schedules, staffing plans, and self-perform operations with the project team.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, daily reports, logs, inspections, cost information, and timecard approvals.
• Communicate with owners, designers, authorities, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Support procurement, project changes, buyout, quality compliance, closeout, and project review activities.
• Help identify and recruit talent while supporting diversity and inclusion.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 or more years of field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, trades and scopes, self-perform productivity, scheduling, project management systems, and accounting software.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, layout, crane flagging, and rigging skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and construction technology.
• Ability to work accurately, collaborate effectively, manage project information, and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather and physical conditions.
