Superintendent 1 - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support delivery of healthcare construction projects in Dallas. This role coordinates field operations, people, materials, documentation, safety, quality, schedule, and project closeout activities.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, and daily workflow.
• Build and maintain work plans, schedules, reports, logs, drawings, and project documentation.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, progress, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, procurement, self-perform work, timecards, and cost tracking.
• Monitor schedule and budget impacts, support change negotiations, and assist with project reviews and buyout meetings.
• Oversee quality compliance, pre-punch activities, and project closeout coordination.
• Promote an injury-free, inclusive workplace and help recruit field talent.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of construction experience and 1 year of field supervision experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and trade scopes.
• Intermediate written and verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.

Project Details

The position supports healthcare construction project operations and may involve managing a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
