Superintendent 1 - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support healthcare construction projects in the Nashville area and throughout its national healthcare division. The role offers a path toward Superintendent 2 and combines field coordination, project execution, safety leadership, and team development.

Project Details

This position currently supports healthcare work in Nashville, with potential assignment to projects across the country as local projects are completed or staffing needs change.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company personnel, site logistics, materials, equipment, and daily workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, progress, and project coordination meetings.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, project records, daily reports, logs, and inspection documentation.
• Monitor project changes, costs, productivity, quality compliance, and closeout activities in coordination with project management.
• Support procurement, staffing, buyout, preplanning, project reviews, and owner or design-team communications.
• Promote an injury-free, inclusive, and collaborative project environment.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 or more years of field supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and self-perform operations.
• Intermediate written and verbal communication skills, presentation ability, and proficiency with MS Office are required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a professional non-union position with an associated benefits package. Travel and possible relocation may be required for national healthcare assignments.
