Superintendent 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support the planning, coordination, and field execution of construction projects in Atlanta. This entry-level superintendent role offers a progression path to Superintendent 2 and requires dependable project leadership, documentation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, materials, equipment, and overall site workflow.
• Promote jobsite safety, investigate incidents, and support an injury-free work environment.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, reports, logs, drawings, and inspection records.
• Lead daily and weekly trade meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Monitor quality, self-perform work, project changes, costs, and schedule impacts.
• Support procurement, staffing, project closeout, pre-punch activities, and coordination with project stakeholders.
• Apply construction technology, scheduling tools, Lean practices, and project management systems.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 or more years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, trade scopes, self-perform operations, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Intermediate written and verbal communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, scheduling, project management, and accounting software skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.
