Senior Superintendent- Healthcare

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead complex healthcare construction projects in Charlotte. This role manages field execution, project teams, safety, quality, scheduling, and delivery from planning through closeout.

Project Details

The position supports significantly complex healthcare construction projects, including stand-alone projects or multiple projects with multiple superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, company staff, suppliers, site logistics, work plans, and construction sequencing.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and project communications.
• Develop and maintain schedules, monitor costs and project changes, manage materials and equipment, and support procurement.
• Coordinate quality control, documentation, inspections, pre-punch work, and project closeout.
• Manage project risks, staffing, deliverables, productivity, and field operations through project completion.
• Support pursuits, client relationships, business development, training, and recruiting while promoting an inclusive workplace.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Advanced communication, presentation, construction means-and-methods, trade, self-perform, layout, and rigging knowledge.
• Intermediate proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology software, plus MS Office.
• Lean construction experience is preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required, along with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in changing field conditions.
