Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent in Tempe to lead complex standalone or multiple construction projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees field execution, project teams, safety, quality, schedule, costs, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, staff, site logistics, and overall workflow.
• Plan construction sequencing, develop work plans, and create or adjust project schedules with the project manager.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, procurement, self-perform operations, documentation, reporting, and project closeout.
• Identify project risks, manage changes, support budgets and costs, and recommend solutions to maintain successful delivery.
• Recruit and develop talent, support training initiatives, and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Support project pursuits, client relationship development, marketing activities, and future business opportunities.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, with working knowledge of project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology systems.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, trade scopes, self-perform operations, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, rigging, Lean practices, and project controls.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
