Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee complex or multiple projects from initial planning through completion, with demonstrated success on high-value industrial projects exceeding $100M. This role leads field teams, manages subcontractors, drives safety culture, and delivers projects on schedule and on budget.

Project Details

The position requires demonstrated success leading complex animal pharmaceutical or similar large-scale industrial projects valued at $100M or more. Projects may involve multiple superintendents and simultaneous scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of field execution, including safety culture, subcontractor management, scheduling, and quality compliance.
• Manage complex stand-alone or multiple concurrent projects from pre-planning through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager, adjusting as needed.
• Conduct daily standups, weekly trade meetings, and participate in OAC and project review meetings.
• Oversee budget tracking, cost reporting, timecard approvals, and material and equipment procurement.
• Manage deliverables across internal functions including logistics and integrated project services.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, recommending solutions to the team.
• Cultivate client relationships and contribute to business development and project pursuit efforts.
• Provide training and mentorship to field staff and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of construction experience with 8+ years in field supervision.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value animal pharmaceutical or industrial projects exceeding $100M.
• Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office.
• Advanced knowledge of trade scopes, self-perform work, crane flagging, rigging, and layout.
• Lean construction principles experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
