Senior Project Engineer - Self-Perform

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support self-perform construction work within its Advanced Facilities Group. The role manages assigned portions of complex projects while coordinating project administration, field execution, safety, quality, and productivity.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients. The position may work between project sites and the office in Minneapolis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, scopes of work, change requests, and self-perform opportunities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, purchasing, submittals, materials, and deliveries.
• Develop schedules, track production, labor, equipment, costs, and project risks.
• Support safety, quality reviews, inspections, punch lists, meetings, and project reporting.
• Review pay applications and lead closeout activities, including as-builts and operating manuals.
• Use Lean practices and mentor project team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, construction technology, and Lean processes.
• Knowledge of self-perform work, labor productivity, construction methods, and project controls.
• Ability to lead teams, collaborate with trades and project partners, and work accurately under project deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours as project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $92,356-$115,445 per year, depending on experience, with eligibility for a target bonus tied to individual and company performance. The position is classified as Professional Non-Union and includes the company's professional benefits package.
