Senior MEP Engineer - Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer in Clarksville to oversee increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities for mission-critical projects. The role combines estimating, systems analysis, scheduling, quality control, commissioning, subcontractor coordination, and client engagement.

Project Details

The position supports mission-critical construction with mechanical and electrical scopes, including equipment procurement, bid coordination, commissioning, and project closeout documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop MEP estimates, scopes of work, systems analyses, sequencing plans, and scheduling input.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, submittals, and construction quality requirements.
• Perform inspections and coordinate corrective actions to meet contract and quality expectations.
• Prepare commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional testing procedures.
• Verify contractor testing, resolve deficiencies, and submit commissioning records to owners.
• Negotiate subcontracts, purchase equipment, allocate resources, and support assigned project staffing.
• Mentor team members, support business development, present to clients, and represent the MEP department externally.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 10 or more years of construction management experience preferred.
• Advanced communication, presentation, MS Office, construction technology, Lean, and project management capabilities.
• Working knowledge of plans, specifications, construction methods, scheduling software, BIM, MEP tools, ASE, and Lens.
• Ability to manage budgets, prepare estimates and GMPs or hard bids, lead teams, and build client relationships.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
