Senior Coating Technician

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Senior Coating Technician in Dallas to independently manage daily field activities, lead coating crews, and train technicians and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Determine when abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coating, holiday testing, and adhesion testing are needed.
• Lead and coach team members during STAC meetings and field operations.
• Coordinate effectively with the Foreman and Superintendent.
• Evaluate site conditions, equipment issues, and required corrective actions.
• Report field conditions accurately and contribute to project planning meetings.

Required Experience

• At least three years of high-performance coating application experience.
• Ability to train others in blasting, injection grouting, coating application, and holiday and adhesion testing.
• Competent-person training in confined space, fall protection, silica, and scaffolding.
• Experience operating and maintaining pump systems and spray equipment.
• Ability to safely drive a pickup truck with an attached trailer.
• Ability to inspect defective or damaged equipment and respond appropriately.
