Safety Manager - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety efforts for heavy civil water and sewer pipeline construction projects in Mesa, Arizona.

Project Details

The role supports water and sewer pipeline work and requires engagement with both project management and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety regulations, standards, and procedures across project operations.
• Deliver safety training to job site personnel.
• Perform daily site inspections, document hazards, and coordinate corrective action.
• Investigate accidents and incidents.

Required Experience

• A degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related discipline is preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction is required.
• Must hold or obtain CHST certification within six months of employment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
