Regional Safety Manager - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a full-time Regional Safety Manager to support heavy civil construction teams in the Mesa region. The role provides field-based safety leadership, training, compliance oversight, and incident support for crews and site safety personnel.

Project Details

The position supports heavy civil construction operations and requires regular visits to active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Support construction crews and site safety managers with job-specific safety guidance.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, audits, safety meetings, workshops, and compliance training.
• Oversee incident-related documentation, including injury reports, medical records, insurance claims, and clearances.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to identify contributing causes.
• Assist with safety program documentation and field records.

Required Experience

• A degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a related safety discipline is preferred.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification is required.
• Must hold or obtain CHST certification within six months of employment.
• English/Spanish bilingual ability is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate is required.
