Quality Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Quality Engineer in El Paso to support construction quality activities, with an emphasis on concrete and mechanical inspections, documentation, and coordination with project teams. The role requires unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.

Responsibilities

• Complete quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, and change-management support.
• Administer assigned subcontract scopes, respond to inquiries, and monitor progress.
• Review project obligations, assist with startup activities, and evaluate subcontractor submittals for compliance and coordination.
• Support design-team inspections, document installation deficiencies, and witness system commissioning.
• Identify potential risks and contribute to project quality and operational requirements.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality practices, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Strong planning, organization, scheduling, subcontract administration, and contract-document skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems; Autodesk Construction Cloud Build experience is strongly preferred.
