Project Manager

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in San Diego to lead medium-sized building construction projects from contract administration through closeout.

Project Details

This position supports PCL’s California Buildings operations and may include conventional or design-build project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Direct project execution across safety, quality, budget, resources, schedule, and contract requirements.
• Prepare safety plans, performance reports, forecasts, and project communications.
• Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders, manage payments, and monitor trade progress.
• Evaluate value engineering options, project risks, and emerging opportunities.
• Coordinate design reviews and constructability activities on design-build work.
• Lead project closeout and maintain effective relationships with clients, trade partners, and other stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Eight to ten years of progressive construction experience; leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, building codes, construction law, safety, and quality practices.
• Capability with project budgets, schedules, risk management, stakeholder coordination, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated base salary is $141,700-$183,300 per year, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
