Project Manager 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to direct moderately complex mission-critical construction projects or major portions of larger programs from preconstruction through closeout. The role combines project leadership, commercial management, team coordination, and client relationship development.

Project Details

The position supports mission-critical construction work and may operate across project sites and office environments. Work may involve multiple projects, internal specialty teams, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project safety practices, incident follow-up, and safety awareness across the project team.
• Support estimating, procurement, bid packaging, subcontract awards, buyout, submittals, and preconstruction planning.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal resources.
• Manage change requests, pay applications, project schedules, procurement information, and project documentation.
• Track budgets, costs, forecasts, margins, risks, and business-plan performance.
• Lead project meetings, status reporting, schedule mitigation, and final closeout activities.
• Develop external relationships through business, industry, and community engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 7 years of construction management experience.
• Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction means and methods, Lean practices, communication, and presentations.
• Ability to manage budgets, profitability, project risks, schedules, documentation, and collaborative relationships.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
