Project Manager 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to direct moderately complex construction projects or defined portions of larger assignments in Charlotte. The role oversees project administration, coordination, financial performance, schedule execution, risk, quality, and closeout while supporting the company’s safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct preconstruction activities, including estimating support, scope development, trade coordination, bidding, and subcontractor buyout.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal support groups.
• Manage submittals, procurement, change requests, pay applications, project documentation, and contract administration.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, identify impacts, and coordinate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor budgets, costs, forecasts, margins, subcontractor risk, and overall project business plans.
• Lead project meetings, safety initiatives, reporting, and closeout activities.
• Manage multiple or moderately complex projects and support external business and community relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 7 years of construction management experience.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, and Lean process capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, project processes, budgeting, profitability, and relationship management.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work at project sites or in an office, including non-traditional hours when project needs require.
