Project Manager 1 Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 1 in Raleigh to direct the administration, coordination, and delivery of healthcare construction work alongside the Project Superintendent. The role manages project operations, supports client and design-team relationships, and advances through a defined path to Project Manager 2.

Project Details

This position supports healthcare construction projects, with assignments spanning project sites and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preconstruction activities, including estimating support, trade scopes, bid packages, buyout, and subcontract awards.
• Manage submittals, procurement, logistics, subcontractor risk, change requests, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Build and update project schedules with the Superintendent, identify risks, and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Monitor budgets, costs, forecasts, margins, and project reporting.
• Lead owner, architect, subcontractor, and project-team meetings and coordinate project stakeholders.
• Promote the company’s safety culture, investigate incidents, and support corrective training.
• Direct project closeout activities, including punch lists, financial completion, contracts, and warranties.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, project processes, budgeting, scheduling, and Lean practices.
• Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and written and verbal communication.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.
