Project Manager 1 - Commercial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 1 to direct commercial construction projects or assigned portions of larger, complex work. The role partners closely with project superintendents and develops relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Project Details

Assignments may include healthcare, aviation, corporate, life sciences, research, education, data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing facilities through the Advanced Facilities Group and broader commercial portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage project startup, procurement, subcontractor buyout, submittals, change management, pay applications, reporting, and closeout.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource logs, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports with the project superintendent.
• Support jobsite safety, investigate incidents, promote injury-free operations, and help implement corrective training.
• Lead progress, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings while documenting decisions affecting cost, schedule, quality, legal matters, and safety.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management methods, project processes, scheduling, Lean practices, budgets, and project accounting.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology software.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours as project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $102,515-$128,144, depending on experience, with eligibility for a target performance bonus. The position is classified as professional non-union and includes JE Dunn's benefits package.
