Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Project Engineer in Tempe to support project management and develop hands-on experience with water and wastewater construction.

Project Details

This role supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including coordination from project startup through closeout and assistance with field operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals, RFIs, project documentation, and closeout materials.
• Help procure materials, develop estimates, and maintain job cost records.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, field teams, crews, and other project participants.
• Assist with project scheduling, crew planning, and day-to-day field support.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Strong organization, planning, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.
• Availability to travel and work the hours required by project needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting base salary of $80,000-$110,000 per year, with medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage at no employee premium; stock ownership beginning on the first day; a 401(k) with 3.5% company matching; paid time off; paid holidays; weekly pay; life and disability insurance; HSA contributions; and additional wellness, counseling, legal, and financial resources.
