Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Project Engineer to support project management and field operations for water and wastewater construction work in Santa Barbara. This entry-level opportunity is suited to a detail-oriented professional developing toward project management responsibilities.

Project Details

The role supports water and wastewater projects, coordinating activities among owners, architects, engineers, crews, and internal project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals, RFIs, project documentation, and closeout materials.
• Help coordinate projects, schedules, crews, materials, and field operations from startup through completion.
• Support estimating, purchasing, material negotiations, and project setup.
• Track job costs and maintain organized project records.
• Communicate professionally with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Strong organization, planning, attention to detail, and willingness to work the hours needed for project success.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is $82,500-$105,000 per year.
