Project Engineer Water and Waterwaster

Job Summary

PCL Civil Constructors is seeking a Project Engineer to support water and wastewater infrastructure work in West Palm Beach and South Florida. This role coordinates project documentation, trade partners, field resources, and construction activities while helping maintain quality, safety, cost, and schedule performance.

The position supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects designed to protect water quality, strengthen community resilience, and support sustainable growth in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, project resources, materials, equipment, and field operations.
• Support subcontract administration, scope clarification, progress tracking, change orders, pricing, and schedule and cost impact reviews.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, as-built documents, project records, and document control procedures.
• Prepare progress claims and estimates while assisting with cost, schedule, safety, and quality reporting.
• Support inspections, constructability reviews, code and authority requirements, issue resolution, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality practices, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles, coordinate contracts, build schedules, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational systems, with the ability to learn new technology.
