Project Engineer - Phoenix Buildings

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction operations for its Phoenix Buildings team. This role is suited to an early-career construction professional who can coordinate project documentation, trade partners, materials, and field execution.

Responsibilities

• Support subcontract administration, work-scope coordination, trade-partner inquiries, and progress tracking.
• Assist with change management, change-order pricing, and evaluation of cost and schedule effects.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, as-built records, project documents, and closeout materials.
• Work with project managers, superintendents, designers, and trade partners on schedule, safety, quality, cost, and constructability matters.
• Prepare or oversee progress claims and estimates, track materials and equipment, and expedite orders.
• Support inspections, code and authority requirements, deficiency resolution, warranty documentation, and warranty work.

Required Experience

• One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality practices, building materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to construction issues.
• Strong communication, organization, scheduling, multitasking, contract-document coordination, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
