Project Engineer

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 in Tulsa to support construction execution, project controls, field coordination, and closeout activities while developing broad construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Support site operations, self-perform work tracking, crew and equipment monitoring, and project documentation.
• Assist with quality planning, safety activities, inspections, punch lists, and project meetings.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports, manpower and production tracking, progress updates, and schedule support.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, shop drawing tracking, and delivery follow-up.
• Support estimating, change management, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor proposal reviews, and project closeout.
• Build effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, tradespeople, and field leadership.
• Apply construction best practices and develop familiarity with Lean methods and self-perform opportunities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction technology, means and methods, specific trades, labor productivity, and Lean processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours and accommodate periods of travel or relocation.
