Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support complex industrial, manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor construction projects. The role develops practical project delivery, safety, quality, and coordination skills while working with field and office teams.

Project Details

AFG delivers advanced facilities work across industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor environments. Project assignments may involve travel or relocation and work during non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations by tracking crews, labor hours, materials, equipment, and production.
• Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor proposal reviews, change management, procurement, and scheduling updates.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, shop drawing status, and delivery information.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports, manpower and production records, meeting materials, and project documentation.
• Participate in quality planning, inspections, safety reviews, punch lists, jobsite observations, and project closeout.
• Coordinate with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, and other project partners while applying Lean and self-perform practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, construction technology, construction means and methods, trade scopes, labor productivity, and Lean principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
