Project Engineer 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support mission-critical and advanced-facility construction projects in El Paso. The role offers hands-on exposure to project administration, field operations, safety, quality, scheduling, and closeout activities.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing facilities, data centers, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients. This position supports construction teams in both office and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Support project safety, quality assurance, inspections, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Prepare estimates, schedules, daily logs, progress reports, work plans, and project records.
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, procurement logs, submittals, shop drawings, deliveries, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with crew planning, look-ahead schedules, self-perform work, productivity monitoring, and cost control.
• Support subcontractor coordination, project meetings, change management, and project administration in CMiC and related systems.
• Build collaborative relationships with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform operations, labor productivity, Lean practices, and project technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written, verbal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in active construction conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
