Project Engineer 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support construction delivery on mission-critical projects in Bowling Green. This role offers hands-on exposure to project administration, field operations, safety, quality, scheduling, procurement, and closeout while working with project leadership and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Support field execution, safety planning, quality activities, inspections, punch lists, and project documentation.
• Prepare and maintain estimates, schedules, daily logs, reports, look-ahead plans, procurement logs, and project records.
• Monitor labor, equipment, materials, production, quantities, and assigned task costs.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes, shop drawings, deliveries, meetings, and internal project support functions.
• Assist with crew planning, self-perform work, Lean process implementation, and productivity improvement.
• Support project setup and administration in CMiC and other company systems.
• Contribute to project closeout, including punch lists, as-built drawings, and operations and maintenance documentation.
• Build effective working relationships with project teams, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and craft personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, Lean practices, and trade scopes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to use construction technology and project management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
