Project Engineer 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support mission-critical and advanced-facility construction work in Kansas City. The role provides hands-on exposure to project administration, field coordination, quality, safety, scheduling, and closeout activities while supporting the project team.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large-scale data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects. This position supports field execution and project controls on complex construction work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety planning, quality activities, inspections, punch lists, and project documentation.
• Support estimating, change management, procurement tracking, subcontractor coordination, and project administration.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, production, and self-perform work in the field.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, schedules, logs, and other project records.
• Help coordinate crew activities, look-ahead planning, closeout materials, and as-built documentation.
• Use CMiC and other company systems while applying Lean practices and construction best practices.
• Build collaborative working relationships with project leadership, tradespeople, subcontractors, and support teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform operations, labor productivity, project technology, and Lean processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varied weather and physical conditions.
