Project Engineer 2, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support construction delivery for advanced industrial facilities in Hillsboro. The role offers hands-on exposure to project administration, field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and closeout while working with a multidisciplinary project team.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects. This position supports advanced construction work and may involve travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations, project administration, safety planning, quality control, and construction documentation.
• Assist with estimates, change management, schedules, daily logs, reports, procurement tracking, and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor crews, labor, materials, equipment, productivity, and self-perform activities.
• Coordinate punch lists, inspections, meetings, drawing updates, closeout documents, and project reporting.
• Help maintain crew schedules, look-ahead plans, cost analysis, and project records in CMiC and other company systems.
• Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and internal support teams while applying Lean practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform operations, labor productivity, project technology, Lean principles, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
