Project Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 in Atlanta to support construction management and field execution activities while developing practical knowledge of the building process.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality, estimating, change management, and self-perform activities.
• Monitor field labor, materials, equipment, quantities, and production information.
• Assist with punch lists, inspections, safety and quality reviews, project meetings, and project reporting.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, shop drawing tracking, and delivery updates.
• Provide schedule progress information and support project closeout, including as-built drawings, manuals, and punch-list completion.
• Build collaborative relationships with tradespeople, subcontractors, superintendents, and other project team members.
• Apply construction fundamentals, company standards, and Lean practices to assigned work.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction technology, means and methods, self-perform work, labor productivity, and Lean processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
