Project Director, Industrial Manufacturing Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Director to lead industrial manufacturing construction work programs in Houston. This senior role oversees project delivery, financial performance, strategic planning, stakeholder relationships, and team leadership across the full project lifecycle.

Project Details

The position supports industrial manufacturing construction programs and may involve multiple large or complex projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct project execution, strategic planning, schedules, budgets, staffing, and contractual performance.
• Lead safety culture, incident response, corrective actions, and risk management.
• Manage client relationships, subcontractor strategy, preconstruction planning, and issue resolution.
• Oversee project and schedule reviews while supporting business development and repeat work.
• Represent JE Dunn in community and industry engagements and promote an inclusive workplace.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 15 or more years of construction management experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of people management experience required.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple large or complex projects or teams.
• Advanced communication, presentation, project management, accounting software, construction technology, Lean, estimating, productivity analysis, budgeting, and risk management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management or accounting platforms such as CMiC.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a professional non-union position with an associated JE Dunn benefits package. The role may require overnight travel and non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
