MEP Manager - Industrial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an MEP Manager to lead engineering services and provide technical and operational oversight for mechanical and electrical construction activities. The role manages engineers, supports project strategy, and advances commissioning, estimating, systems analysis, and value engineering.

Project Details

The position supports industrial construction, commissioning services, engineer-led mechanical and electrical projects, energy performance contracting, and infrastructure retrofit opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP engineers delivering commissioning and mechanical/electrical project services.
• Oversee conceptual estimates, systems analysis, value engineering, scheduling input, sequencing, and project updates.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans while supporting engineer development through project commissioning.
• Build relationships with energy services companies and help expand commissioning, performance contracting, and retrofit opportunities.
• Allocate resources across projects, support estimating and marketing efforts, and promote safety, quality, inclusion, and team collaboration.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Master’s degree in engineering or business management preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction management experience, including 2 or more years managing people and 2 or more years of financial management.
• Advanced communication, presentation, construction technology, project budgeting, estimating, team leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
