Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to support advanced industrial and manufacturing construction projects. This role performs increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, estimating, preconstruction, quality, and commissioning work while mentoring junior team members.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical and electrical estimates, scopes of work, systems analyses, and bid evaluations.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals; identify constructability and quality concerns.
• Coordinate system sequencing and provide scheduling input to support project delivery.
• Perform inspections and support commissioning through checklists, functional testing, and deficiency closeout.
• Develop commissioning plans, improve M/E processes, and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Promote JE Dunn’s safety, quality, diversity, and inclusion programs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of construction and/or engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
