ME Engineer 2 Electrical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to support electrical, mechanical, and field construction activities for advanced facilities projects. The role works under supervision while contributing to estimating, preconstruction, coordination, inspections, commissioning, and project closeout.

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers mission critical, data center, semiconductor, and industrial and manufacturing projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and electrical estimates, systems analysis, scopes of work, bid reviews, and subcontractor selection.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, develop sequencing and system schedules, and help resolve schedule and constructability issues.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals for quality and contract compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare reports for the project team.
• Assist with commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, functional testing, and project closeout.
• Participate throughout construction and communicate work products to project teams and clients.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use construction M/E tools and software and collaborate with internal and external teams.
