Materials Coordinator

Job Summary

PCL Industrial Construction Co. is seeking a Materials Coordinator in Houston to support field operations, subcontractor coordination, project documentation, and construction performance across industrial work.

Project Details

The role supports projects valued between $1.5 million and $3 million, including construction coordination, materials and drawing reviews, commissioning support, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, progress surveys, and reporting for assigned scopes.
• Coordinate with trade contractors, monitor progress, and assist with subcontract administration.
• Review drawings, submittals, constructability issues, change orders, and cost and schedule impacts.
• Support project management and superintendent teams with HSE, quality, schedule, and cost reporting.
• Coordinate RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as-built documents, inspections, and commissioning signoffs.

Required Experience

• Four to seven years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Construction trade training or a post-secondary diploma or degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, materials, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality requirements, building codes, construction law, and ASME piping codes.
• Experience with subcontract administration, contract documents, project document control, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Baseplate applications is expected.
• Strong communication, planning, organization, problem-solving, multitasking, and technology-adoption skills.
