Marine Senior Superintendent - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Marine Senior Superintendent in Nashville to direct field execution for complex heavy civil work. The position leads multiple crews and coordinates closely with project management, subcontractors, engineers, clients, and inspectors.

Project Details

This role supports marine and large-scale heavy civil, infrastructure, and building projects, with travel or relocation required as project needs change.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily site operations, field personnel, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and general conditions.
• Prepare safety, logistics, and execution plans while monitoring schedule progress and resolving conflicts.
• Lead site meetings, safety briefings, inspections, and quality-control activities.
• Maintain project records, including daily reports, manpower information, and issue tracking.
• Coordinate approvals with engineers, owners, clients, and inspectors.
• Develop foremen, superintendents, and junior field personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of field construction supervision experience.
• At least 5 years as a superintendent on major civil, infrastructure, or building projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, specifications, schedules, and field technology.
• Ability to lead diverse teams, adapt to changing conditions, and solve field issues promptly.
