M/E Engineer 3 - Mechanical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an M/E Engineer 3 to support increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction work for mission-critical and advanced facilities projects in Tempe. The role supports estimating, systems analysis, construction quality, commissioning, and project coordination.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical and electrical estimates, scopes of work, bid analyses, and value engineering recommendations.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals while identifying constructability and quality concerns.
• Coordinate system sequencing and provide schedule input during project execution.
• Perform inspections and support commissioning through checklists, functional testing, deficiency tracking, and owner documentation.
• Develop commissioning plans and mentor less experienced team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of construction and/or engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications and use construction management methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
