M/E Engineer 2 - Mechanical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to support mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities for mission-critical projects. This role contributes to estimating, preconstruction, coordination, inspections, commissioning, and project closeout while working with project teams and clients.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers mission-critical, data center, semiconductor, advanced industrial, and manufacturing projects. This position is based in Dallas and focuses on mechanical and electrical systems throughout the construction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgetary mechanical and electrical estimates, scopes of work, bid analyses, and system sequencing plans.
• Lead mechanical and electrical coordination and develop system schedules.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance and constructability.
• Perform site inspections and report quality or compliance findings to the project team.
• Support commissioning by preparing checklists, testing procedures, and test documentation.
• Participate in project delivery from startup through closeout and communicate work products to clients and project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, design partners, and clients.
