Lead Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Lead Superintendent to manage moderately complex healthcare construction projects in Orlando. The role oversees field operations from planning through closeout while supporting safety, quality, schedule, cost, and project team performance.

Project Details

This position supports healthcare construction projects and may manage a stand-alone project or a major portion of a larger effort, including coordination among field teams, subcontractors, owners, designers, and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, workflow, and construction sequencing.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Lead daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Promote an injury-free jobsite, investigate incidents, and support safety training.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, quality control, documentation, and closeout activities.
• Monitor project risks, costs, changes, production, and self-performed work.
• Support staffing, procurement, buyout, client relationships, pursuit activities, and future business development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management systems, accounting software, construction technology, and Lean practices.
• Advanced layout, crane flagging, and rigging knowledge.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours and in changing weather conditions; travel or relocation may be required.
