HSE Supervisor

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an HSE Supervisor in San Diego to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities for building construction projects in California. The role leads project safety initiatives, supports field teams, and promotes effective stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, safe work practices, and communication programs.
• Identify hazards and deliver project-specific HSE training.
• Lead site inspections and assess trade contractor safety plans and performance.
• Maintain emergency response, site security, and environmental planning processes.
• Support incident investigations, corrective actions, and stakeholder relations.
• Coach and mentor HSE Coordinators and other project personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• Recognized safety designation and at least five years of health and safety experience in a related industry.
• Knowledge of construction processes, applicable occupational health and safety requirements, environmental legislation, and HSE procedures.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to adopt new technology.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary is $95,400-$130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
