Health, Safety, and Environment Supervisor

Job Summary

Nordic PCL Construction is seeking an HSE Supervisor to strengthen safety performance and environmental compliance across its Hawaii operations. The role leads project-level safety initiatives, develops people, and partners with project teams and trade contractors.

Responsibilities

• Implement project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, communications, training, and safe work practices.
• Lead inspections, hazard identification, trade partner audits, incident investigations, and corrective-action reviews.
• Maintain emergency response, security, and environmental planning processes.
• Coach and supervise HSE Coordinators while building effective relationships with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
• Recognized safety designation and at least seven years of health and safety experience in a related industry.
• Supervisory experience, knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental requirements, and familiarity with construction practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and adaptability with new technology.
• Military EM 385-1-1 experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
