Garney is seeking a Field Engineer to connect office engineering teams with field crews on water and wastewater construction projects in Suffolk, Virginia. This entry-level opportunity provides hands-on exposure to project management and construction operations.

Project Details

The role supports water and wastewater infrastructure work, with responsibility for verifying field construction against engineering requirements and maintaining accurate project records.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveying and site layout.
• Verify crew and subcontractor work against project specifications.
• Review and process shop drawings.
• Maintain as-built records and audit completed work.
• Prepare daily and periodic reports.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and confirm proper material delivery and storage.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel and work the schedule required to support project completion.
• Interest in developing entry-level project management experience in construction.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary starts at $75,000 per year.
