Field Engineer - Phoenix Buildings

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for its Phoenix team. This early-career construction role supports field operations, project documentation, trade coordination, quality, safety, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Support superintendents and project engineers with workforce planning, trade coordination, RFIs, shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Maintain project document control and assist with construction records and procedures.
• Participate in self-perform work oversight, including crew planning, labor tracking, and quantity tracking.
• Lead or support safety orientations, inspections, hazard corrections, third-party reviews, and site issue resolution.
• Help implement quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Coach field engineers, students, and interns while building effective relationships with project partners.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Internship or up to approximately one year of field engineering or coordination experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, self-perform and subcontracted work, temporary works, equipment, and scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical communication with trade contractors, designers, and inspectors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
