Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking an Engineering/Technical Student for its Florida Buildings Group. This temporary student role offers practical construction experience on assigned projects beginning in May 2027, with four- or eight-month placements.

Project Details

The position supports building and civil construction work throughout Florida, with potential assignments in Orlando, Tampa, Naples, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, and South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Support field and project engineers, project managers, and superintendents with project execution.
• Review drawings and specifications, maintain field records, and assist with surveying and layout.
• Track submittals and RFIs, prepare reports and meeting documentation, and support project records.
• Assist with safety and quality audits, subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, and project meetings.
• Help with estimating and outreach to subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and information.

Required Experience

• Current full-time enrollment in a construction-related program such as construction management or civil, mechanical, environmental, or electrical engineering.
• Interest in a future career as a project manager, superintendent, safety professional, or estimator.
• Must be at least 18, hold a valid driver's license, and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to temporarily relocate and pass a third-party substance abuse test.
