Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer 2 in Cheyenne to support mission-critical construction projects within its Advanced Facilities Group. The role provides hands-on exposure to preconstruction, field coordination, commissioning, and project closeout.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects for technology-focused clients.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and electrical estimating, scope development, systems analysis, bid review, and subcontractor selection.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, develop installation schedules and sequencing plans, and help resolve schedule or constructability issues.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance and potential quality concerns.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare reports for the project team.
• Support commissioning by preparing checklists, testing procedures, and functional testing documentation.
• Help manage commissioning plans and participate throughout construction from startup through closeout.
• Communicate deliverables to project teams and assigned clients while representing JE Dunn professionally.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work accurately, meet deadlines, use construction M/E tools and software, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
