Assistant Superintendent - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support heavy civil water and wastewater construction operations in Charleston, South Carolina. The role is suited to a safety-focused construction leader with progressive field experience.

Project Details

This position supports water and wastewater infrastructure work and requires experience running crews on heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material purchasing and negotiate with suppliers.
• Maintain as-built records and review inventory requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for the owner and architect/engineer.
• Survey and monitor the construction site.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of experience leading crews on heavy civil water and wastewater projects.
• Progressive construction experience and a strong commitment to jobsite safety.
