Assistant Superintendent, Survey

Job Summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Survey to support field supervision and coordinate survey operations for solar construction in Camden, Ohio. This role connects design requirements with safe, productive, and quality field execution while helping lead project teams.

Project Details

The position supports solar construction projects and works closely with site supervision, project management, field engineering, estimators, trades, consultants, and the client team.

Responsibilities

• Support the site superintendent and project manager with safety implementation, compliance, and project records.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor project personnel and coordinate work between company crews and trade partners.
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, construction plans, schedules, and project execution requirements.
• Identify potential conflicts, schedule issues, constructability concerns, and project risks, then communicate mitigation needs to project leadership.
• Coordinate field engineers and estimators to ensure work follows drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Help prepare the Project Execution Plan and resource-loaded three-week lookahead schedules.
• Lead effective meetings with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Preferred experience includes three years as a field engineer, field coordinator, lead hand, or foreman, along with prior construction workforce supervision.
• Working toward NCSO designation and enrollment as an intern in the Gold Seal program are preferred.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, scheduling software, safety requirements, and environmental procedures.
• Ability to understand project scope and critical path schedules, apply basic engineering principles, resolve conflicts, and exercise sound judgment.
