Assistant Superintendent - Pipe - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support heavy civil utility construction operations and help lead safe, productive field execution.

Project Details

This role focuses on pipe and utility work within the heavy civil construction sector and is based in Riverview, Florida, with travel required.

Responsibilities

• Set job-site safety expectations and monitor field compliance.
• Prepare six-week look-ahead schedules and track project progress.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and craft teams.
• Review job costs, manage labor quantities, and complete daily and periodic reports.
• Oversee quality control, train craft workers, and mentor field engineers.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in heavy civil utility construction.
• Willingness to travel is required.
